Biography
A doctor dedicated to brain and nerve health
Dr. Al-Mahamudul Alam Mimo is a neuromedicine specialist (neurologist) in Bangladesh. After completing his MBBS under the University of Dhaka, he joined the health cadre of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS). He went on to earn an MD in Neuromedicine and is associated with the National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital (NINS), Dhaka.
Nerve complications of diabetes are extremely common in Bangladesh, so he also completed a Certificate Course on Diabetology (CCD) to manage blood sugar and nerve damage together. He has reached FCPS (Medicine) Part-2, which gives him a broad internal-medicine perspective.
Since 2018 he has treated patients with stroke and paralysis, migraine, epilepsy, neuropathy, Parkinson's disease, vertigo, memory problems and spine-related nerve disorders. To bring specialist neurology care closer to people outside Dhaka, he holds regular chambers in Gaibandha and in Sonargaon, Narayanganj.
“Treat the patient, not just the disease — every person’s story is different.”
